  • Summary

    Kerry Krueger, a shareholder with Kroloff, Belcher, Smart, Perry & Christopherson, joined the firm in 2006.  Ms. Krueger has a litigation background, and her practice primarily consists of trust and estate planning and litigation, elder abuse litigation, employment advice and litigation, contract and construction dispute litigation and medical malpractice litigation.  She represents trustees and beneficiaries, large and small employers including apartment managers, construction companies, trucking companies, hospitals, and local and regional commercial businesses.  She also provides clients with business formation services.

    Over the course of her career, Ms. Krueger has successfully mediated and settled a variety of cases involving employment rights, elder abuse claims, negligence claims, and contract claims.  Ms. Krueger has successfully tried cases ranging from reasonable accommodation and retaliation to fraud as well as quiet title and easement rights. Ms. Krueger has been named a Northern California Rising Star in Civil Litigation Defense by San Francisco Magazine in 2013 and 2014. Ms. Krueger is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of California and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California.

    Representative Matters

    • Represents small to large employers, as well as employees on occasion, in employment litigation including sexual harassment, disability discrimination and accommodation, age and sex discrimination, pregnancy and medical leave, wage claims and whistleblower retaliation.

    • Represents individuals and corporations in business disputes and litigation including contract disputes.

    • Represents trustees and beneficiaries in estate matters.

    • Represents executors and administrators in probate matters.

    • Represents conservators and conservatees in conservatorship matters.

    • Represents family members in elder abuse claims.

    • Represents hospitals, insurers, and physicians in medical malpractice litigation.

    • Serves as general counsel to clients providing advice and counsel to employers relating to employment policies, practices, internal disputes and other employment-related concerns.

  • Personal / Professional Activities

    • Ms. Krueger is a member of the San Joaquin County Bar Association and previously served on the Board of Governors for 6 years.

    • She is a member of the Consuelo M. Callahan, American Inn of Court.

    • Kerry is a Trustee for the Haggin Museum and previously served as President of the Board of Trustees.

    • Ms. Krueger serves on the Board of Directors for Delta Health Care.

    • She was also a Board member for the San Joaquin County Library and Literacy Foundation for 6 years.

    • Kerry is a member of the Stockton Rotary Club and has served on the Board of Directors.

    • Ms. Krueger serves as a member of the University of the Pacific Physical Therapy Leadership and Development Council.

    • Prior to her career in law, Ms. Krueger had a successful career in higher education administration in which she was responsible for addressing department employment matters, housing issues, privacy rights issues, judicial affairs, and faculty and student grievances.

    • She is an avid runner, having completed multiple U.S. and international marathons including, on several occasions, running Boston and New York.

    • She loves to be outdoors, whether it is waterskiing on the Delta, hiking, snow-shoeing or cross-country skiing in the Sierra or beach combing on any beach.

    • She is a native Virginian who has lived on the east coast, in the mid-west, in the south, and in the northwest, but has found Northern California to be home.

    • In her free time she enjoys spending time traveling with her family.
